This tree stopped me in my tracks today, literally, and luckily I had my camera. This beautiful blossom is that of a tulip magnolia tree. Magnolia's represent "splendid beauty and dignity" which I find all too fitting for this vibrant masterpiece. When I first came across this tree, it was very plain, bare, almost invisible to the eye. Then fuzzy buds began to emerge from the branches, eagerly awaiting to reveal the beauty that lied within. After sufficient warmth, nourishment, and sunlight this amazing flower blossomed and awoke to life.
This Magnolia reminds me of a few people I have crossed paths with in life; looking to blend in, remain plain and bare, not believing in their inner beauty. Then one day, after they have let a little love in, let a little confidence in, and let a little belief in...BAM...they blossom and show the world the beauty that has been there all along =) It is amazing to witness, even more amazing to aid in the process!
"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
