I am humble by nature, but am going to act a little out of character, and boast about this book being released, because I am extremely honored to be a part it! For those that know me, my camera follows me wherever I go...as last season with NJ Sky Blue progressed, Gloria Averbuch, took note of my love for photography. She asked if I would help out with a book that she was working on. My first inclination was, I am flattered, but not qualified, you are a big time author and should have someone more 'professional' doing the work. Well, after a bit of encouragement, I took on the task of coming up with the: cover concept, cover shot, section dividers and a few other inside photos.
The cover is "kicking off the book" and showing the healthy balance one must have as an athlete. There is also a great pic on the inside, showing the food pyramid concept, except we used Sky Blue players to make a human pyramid. All in all, I think the content that Gloria and Nancy cover, is a must read for any female soccer player or athlete in general. I am proud to have my name attached to this project, and hope it has opened another door for me!
