Everyone collects something at some point in their lifetime. When I was a kid it was baseball cards (still have a Nolan Ryan rookie card), porcelain dolls, stickers, trolls, you name it; now it has evolved into baseball hats, books, movies, photographs, etc. My Grandma collects thimbles. I know people that collect heart shaped rocks, beach glass, wine corks, postcards, shot glasses, and the list goes on...
My Mom has collected magnets for quite some time. Anytime someone in our immediate family travels somewhere, they come back with a magnet to add to the refrigerator. It is fun to come home, see a little piece of ceramic, with a city or country name etched into it, and feel all of the memories rush back. Often brings a big ol' smile to my face =)
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
“There is a magnet in your heart that will attract true friends. That magnet is unselfishness, thinking of others first... when you learn to live for others, they will live for you.”
